The PCA is Getting Sketchy
and how to deal with being a MN sports fan š
Hello! Iām Ben, executive director at the Phipps.
Welcome to The Flying P, a weekly newsletter covering your Phipps Center for the Arts and anything else I might want to throw your way.
Welp.
Per usual, I had to endure a Minnesota sports team choking in the postseason. My Timberwolves yacked it up against Oklahoma City and it really wasnāt even close.
Hey, Packers fans: hit reply and describe to me, in great detail, what winning feels like. Thanks in advance.

VISUAL ARTS
A fun few weeks in the galleries
I didnāt get a chance to show you all the fun we had at the reception for the annual High School Art Exhibition, which was held at the PCA on May 18th.
Evie Wang took home the blue ribbon (pictured above, next to her artwork) but so many others were celebratedā¦and for good reason. It was a really outstanding exhibition!
Speaking of outstanding exhibitions, we opened a new one on the 23rd. Come check out the work of Layl McDill, Sharon Grosh, Pauly Cudd, Kay Raabe, Bebe Keith, Shona Dockter, and Sarah Lilja from now until July 13th.

Check out the current exhibition, running thru July 13th.

Little Shop isnāt the only Phipps production being productionād. Hereās a sneak peek from the Cinderella files, courtesy of our super-talented scenic designer, Michaela Lochen.
Cinderella, a Phipps ballet, is currently in rehearsals and opens on July 25th.
